WHAT IS TRAILCROSS? TrailCross is a race that brings you back to the most primitive form of competition. This style of race is a hybrid between a traditional trail race, and the format of a Ski Cross race. Racers will compete in multiple heats, advancing based on their performance. The Next Evolution in Running This race is designed to test both the physical and mental toughness of its participants. Whether they are being chased as they lead the pack or grinding it out as they slowly chase down the racer out in front. The courses will be short, ranging from 1-2 km, but they will be grueling. Combined of single and double track trail with technical ascents and descents, the speed required to win will demand focus, adaptability and a pure drive to lead the pack.
Who can race? The unique format of a TrailCross race lends itself to all athletes. Traditional races have created a clear advantage to distance runners who primarily train their cardiovascular systems to improve their endurance. TrailCross levels the playing field by decreasing its distance and making speed a factor. Whether you are a hockey player, crossfitter, or intramural all-star; Athletes of all walks of life can compete and win!
What if I don’t win? TrailCross is committed to creating champions. However, the definition of a champion is not always constant. A champion is an individual who stops at nothing to reach their goal. Whether that goal is winning, weight loss, or participation the TrailCross staff and volunteers will be on-site rooting for you to complete that goal.
I’m not fast/fit enough? Well with that attitude you never will be either! TrailCross features a Champions of 2moro division which will pit racers who do not advance early on against each other. This way as race day progresses racers will find themselves racing more and more athletes of their ability. This creates a great experience for all of our racers.
